Adoption Alliance is committed to helping make life better for children around the world. We are proud to announce our support of the Sagarmatha Children Home in Kathmandu, Nepal in a new education and school lunch program.
Almost 80% of the population of Nepal is below the poverty line. Nepalese children are often deprived of education. They are sent to work or have to look after their siblings in poverty stricken families. Of the approximatley 6.2 million children in Nepal, 60% have never even stepped foot inside a school and over 50% of the entire population of Nepal is illiterate. Half of Nepalese children are malnourished and stunted as a result of starvation and lack of nutrition.
The Sagarmatha Children Home strives to provide shelter, food, education, entertainment and a healthy environment to otherwise homeless and orphan children. Adoption Alliance seeks your help in supporting these children and the education and school lunch project. A sponsorship of $120 can support a Nepalese child for an entire year with schooling, books, and nutritious lunches.

The children at Sagarmatha Children Home will directly benefit from your gift. The orphanage believes that it is necessary to ensure their children's well being and voice the rights of abandoned and orphaned children. Adoption Alliance seeks to support Sagarmatha and involve the global community to feed, house, and educate these children who are in need of help.

Your $120 sponsorship will provide a Nepalese child in need with a nutritional lunch on school days, annual school fees and school books for one year! This sponsorship equates to less than 35 cents a day to support one child. With your sponsorship of two or more Nepalese children, you will receive a copy of 'Iris and Her Amazing Garden', written by Dayn Conrad.
